Placemark Investments is an investment advisory firm registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company is privately held, with 54 employees located in offices in Dallas, Texas and Wellesley, Massachusetts.

 

Placemark develops, implements, and supports wealth solutions, including Unified Managed Account platforms and retirement solutions for broker/dealers, registered investment advisors, banks, and family offices. As the separate account industry’s leading independent overlay portfolio manager, Placemark coordinates multiple investment vehicles such as separately managed accounts, mutual funds, and ETFs into a single customized portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The success of Placemark is very much determined by its ability to build sales through individual advisors. Responsibility for building advisor sales flows is shared by a team of field-based sales consultants (Regional Consultants) and telephone-based consultants (Associate Regional Consultants). As an Associate Regional Consultant, the vast majority of time will be spent proactively cultivating relationships on the telephone. The remainder of time will be spent responding to Regional Consultant and advisor requests.

As part of an elite team of sales professionals in an industry leading company, the Internal Consultant is a highly visible position with diverse responsibilities.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

icon green arrow Expand advisor sales relationships (50%). To be successful, Placemark must establish relationships with advisors that yield multiple client accounts. While most advisor relationships will be created through field sales activity, the ARC will be responsible for building strong, ongoing, and productive relationships with advisors.
icon green arrow Close outstanding sales proposals (20%). Placemark’s investment solutions are sold through a consultative sales process. The Associate Regional Consultant is responsible for proactive follow-up on all outstanding proposals.
icon green arrow Provide post-contact follow-up (20%). This position will be responsible for timely telephone follow-up to office visits and initial advisor activation through the Placemark desktop.
icon green arrow Prepare transition analysis reports and other miscellaneous sales support materials (10%).

 

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

icon green arrow Broad knowledge of investment products; including separately-managed accounts, fee-based advisory services, mutual funds, and ETFs.
icon green arrow Proven ability to close sales within a telesales environment.
icon green arrow Results-oriented mindset with a strong client service orientation
icon green arrow Ability to build relationships using consultative selling skills.
icon green arrow Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, organize, and prioritize in a dynamic environment.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

icon green arrow Minimum 5 years selling / serving experience in financial services
icon green arrow Licensed to sell investment products (S-65 preferred)
icon green arrow Prior experience working in a telesales environment
